I fall in love with pieces I'm creating at every stage of the process. Sometimes mistakes are made and pieces fall into the scrap bucket.
Sometimes, as with this bowl, I fall back in love when seeing how the trimmed shavings cling to the surface of what I had just tossed away. So I go through the process of salvaging it just to see what it will teach me.
A happy experiment that led to a bowl I can look at for ages and still find something new to admire.
